2026 Moon Calendar

Portland, Oregon Caldecott Honoree Carson Ellis presents her first calendar with a stunning two-color ode to the moon.

Each calendar month features a full moon, each with its own unique name. These names vary widely across different cultures. In this calendar Carson decided to highlight the moon names used by the Celts.

"I'm an artist, not an academic, and I didn't concern myself too much with the historical truth of this very old tradition. I did my best, but I'm more interested in the poetry of moon names, what they tell us about changing seasons in a pre-industrial world, and how they connect cultures across great distances."
